FAQs

What time can I check in?
You’re welcome to arrive anytime from 12:00 pm. Latest check in 8:00 pm. Think you might be late? Please call ahead and try to arrange this with us, as we cannot guarantee you will be able to get in.

What time do I need to check out?
Check-out is by 11:00 am sharp. This gives us time to get everything ready for the next guests arriving from midday.

What happens if I check out late?
If you're still on your pitch after 11:00 am, we may need to charge £10 per adult per hour. We really appreciate your cooperation; the turnaround time between guests is tight.

Can I leave my car on site after check-out?
We are unable to accommodate late check outs or parking on site during peak season. If your pitch is free for the night after you, then you are able to book the pitch to leave a little later. Please speak with reception.

Do I need to do anything before leaving?
Yes. We ask that you leave your pitch as you found it, take all rubbish with you, and move your vehicle. If anything’s left behind or the pitch isn’t tidy, we may need to charge a fee to the card on file.

Are fire pits allowed?
Yes, small, raised fire pits are welcome, but they must be off the ground and extinguished by 10:30 pm. In very dry conditions, we may temporarily ban them for safety. Firewood and firepit hire will be available on-site. Ash and charcoal are to be disposed of in the correct metal bins and not thrown in hedgerows.

Can I bring my dog?
Absolutely. We’re dog-friendly across most of the site. There is a £5 per night, per dog charge. Just follow our canine code of conduct: keep them on leads, clean up after them, and be mindful of others. Please note: Tidswell and Strawberry Fields are dog-free. Please note that Croyde Bay is not dog-friendly during the summer months, but nearby Putsborough and Saunton are.

Do you allow awnings?
Yes as long as they’re windproof and fit within your pitch boundaries.

What are the pitch sizes?
Each pitch is approx. 10m x 12m. If you go over this, you'll need to book two.

Do you allow campervans?
If you are under 7m it is fine, but please call ahead if you are unsure. Not all pitches are suitable and the site has a gradual gradient.

Are motorhomes ok?
Depending on size, we might be able to offer you space. Please call ahead and make arrangements prior to booking. Our pitches are all grass, and we don’t have fully serviced spots.

Do you allow caravans?
Please call ahead before booking for a caravan as not all pitches are suitable.

How many tents can I have per pitch?
One tent per pitch. If you're unsure or need to discuss a setup, drop us an email.

Do you allow groups?
We do, but we require further information. So please get in touch to arrange. No more than six people per pitch and only one tent per pitch. We do not accept hen, stag or single sex groups. Quiet hours start at 10:30pm. No late night fires or BBQs! Late night noise that is disruptive, will not be tolerated, and result in you being asked to leave.

What’s your noise policy?
Quiet time starts at 10:30 pm, and all fires must be out by then, too.

Are you open during Oceanfest?
No, we are closed for Oceanfest weekend.

Can under-18s camp alone?
All under-18s must be accompanied by an adult; this is non-negotiable.

Are there electric pitches?
Yes, we’ve added electric hook-up pitches in Stentaways, Jinnies and Strawberry Fields for 2025. They’re available to book online.

Can I book a bell tent?
Yes, meet Ruby and Flo. Fully furnished bell tents with sea views, comfy beds, and your own fire pit space. Book online. Please note there are different check in and out times for these.

Do you have food options?
Yes we’ve got rotating food pop-ups throughout summer. Ember Pizza is our resident, on Wednesdays and most Fridays or Saturdays. We also host our own feasting events. Check out our ‘what’s on’ page for more info and ticket releases.

Do you compost?
We do. All food waste (except bones and stones) goes into our Oklin commercial-grade composter and returns to the land within 24 hours. Food waste bins are dotted around the campsite. If you’d like some compost to take home, please ask at reception.
