Upcycled Tent Pouch by Britt
Handcrafted on-site from tents salvaged during camping season, each pouch turns discarded outdoor fabric into a practical, lightweight bag for your travels. Created to help keep useful materials out of landfill, these colour-blocked pouches give retired gear a practical second life.
Key features
Upcycled materials: Made from thoroughly washed, retired tent fabric collected directly at our campsite.
One of a kind: Incorporates original guy ropes, zips, seams, and webbing loops into each design, giving every piece its own character.
Please note: while you will receive the chosen colour combination, there may be small variations compared with the pictures.
Lightweight & practical: Durable, weather-resistant fabric designed for packing toiletries, surf kit, sauna bits and bobs, or campsite essentials.
Details: Finished with a top zip closure, guy rope pull tabs, and the embroidered Cherry Tree hare logo in the corner.
Paying it forward: 20% of every sale goes to Plastic Free North Devon and Surfers Against Sewage to help protect local coastlines and reduce pollution.
The story behind the project
A single tent sits in UK landfill for over 500 years. As throwaway culture creeps up on outdoor experiences, we’re looking for ways to combat the issue.
The pouch idea started after maker Britt spent a year living in her tent during a year-long cycling trip. Returning home, she wanted to preserve the durable fabric rather than send it to landfill. When she joined Cherry Tree, she noticed many tents left behind were perfectly usable apart from minor damage like a broken pole.
In our mission to reduce waste, the team has started to collect abandoned tents so Britt can clean, dismantle, and hand-cut them into useful pouches, keeping valuable materials in circulation for longer.
